About

About Me

My name is Mitch Moravec, and I am a student at Black Hills State University studying Marketing and Management. In addition to my education, I am a student-athlete and have gained experience in leadership, teamwork, communication, and working with others through my involvement on campus and in the workplace.

I am especially interested in business, marketing, and the outdoor industry. I enjoy learning how companies build their brands, connect with customers, and use marketing strategies to grow. Through my education and professional experiences, I hope to continue developing my skills in digital marketing, management, leadership, and entrepreneurship.

My long-term goal is to use my education and experience to build a successful career in business, with a particular interest in the outdoor and hunting industry.

Experience

My professional experience has allowed me to develop skills in leadership, customer service, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. I have worked in a variety of industries, including outdoor recreation, hospitality, food service, and sales.

One of my most relevant experiences has been working as an Adventure Specialist at Rolling Bones Outdoors, where I assist clients with guided hunting opportunities, coordinate with outfitters, and help customers navigate big-game applications across the United States. This experience has strengthened my communication, customer service, and knowledge of the outdoor industry.

I also serve as a Senior Peer Mentor at Black Hills State University, where I help guide and support other students as they adjust to college and work toward their academic goals. In this role, I meet with students individually, provide guidance and resources, and help them work through challenges they may encounter. Being a peer mentor has strengthened my leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills while giving me the opportunity to positively impact other students.

Along with my work experience, I have developed leadership skills through my involvement at Black Hills State University. These experiences have taught me how to communicate effectively, work as part of a team, take responsibility, and balance multiple commitments.
